This activity, created by the Manchester Art Gallery and local artist Venessa Scott, prompts pupils to explore the story and words of Sarah Parker Remond, before creating collage art inspired by her speeches.
Remond was an American lecturer, activist and abolitionist campaigner, who delivered one of her most inspiring speeches here in Manchester in 1859. Her words have subsequently inspired generations of activists.
